A film still series about a conversation between Carmilla an undefined person (characterized by the audience). The person is in search of a companion that will be theirs forever, and we meet both characters mid conversation post acquaintanceship, they take us through a journey, as the audience becomes familiar with Carmilla, her true nature reveals itself, and in that same revelation defines our tragic fate.

Carmilla (2022) is based on the 1872 gothic novella of the same name by Sheridan LeFanu about two female characters who are drawn and held together by their complicated desires for each other; one curious and ardent and the other fatal. The film still series also has connections to LeFanu’s story Spalatro,  about a notorious man whose criminal activity brings him into contact with the vampire, Carmilla.
